DIGITAL COMMONPLACE BOOK

Where am I?

You, my dear websurfer, have landed on my digital commonplace book! What is a commonplace book, I hear you probably not asking but I'm going to tell you anyway? A commonplace book is a notebook where you record and organize information, ideas, quotes, and observations for future reference and use. Essentially, it's a database of you - your ideas, the media you consume, the words you think are worth keeping. Unlike a regular journal, these don't need to be organized by date, source, or even topic! They can be as messy or as neat as you want, and you can put anything in them - doodles, words, numbers, pressed flowers, whatever! Honestly, a lot of people already keep commonplace books without even realizing it. I've been keeping commonplace books since middle school, and I cannot overstate how helpful they've been to my writing, my creativity, and just... my brain in general.

This digital version of my commonplace book is a place for me to list interesting articles, Wikipedia rabbit holes, and video essays I've enjoyed! On this page, you'll find all sorts of weird, fascinating, and sometimes oddly specific topics. Eventually, I'll add a section of quotes I love, too, but for now, I present to you: Paruko's Digital Commonplace Book!
