WHO ARE YOU?

You can call me Paruko, or パル子. I am a game developer, storyteller, and Splatoon enthusiast! I am the webmaster of this lovely website, and the ringleader of the Splatoon Webring! I love video games, quiet horror, kaomoji, playing Grizzco, and chiptune music! I am an artist and creating things is extremely important to me and my identity. o(≧▽≦)o

WHY PARUKO?

Paruko is Harmony's name in Japapnese. Harmony is a character from Splatoon who I like and relate to a lot, so it only made sense to use her alternative name as my screen name! The character I relate to most is Siffrin from In Stars and Time, though. I also have a lot in common with Callie from Splatoon, and I used her name for a while, but eventually I grew to like Paruko more. Paruko is my screen name here on Neocities and also on Splatoon!

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I am currently studying to be a video game developer! I love computer science (ew stinky, yes, I know), and I'm super passionate about web design as a hobby! I want to be an independent game dev someday. I also write indie game reviews for HOUDINI magazine, which you can read on their website!

I make all sorts of other art, too! Mostly writing, but I also make music, zines, and visual art, all of which you can check out in the Gallery!

You, my dear websurfer, have stumbled upon my lovely personal website, also known as my escape from the horrors of modern social media! Here, you'll find a gallery of my artwork (which includes writing, music, zines, visual art, and video games) as well as several shrines for all of my biggest interests! This website exists as my base of operations - everything I make goes here! This way, I can be the publisher of all of my art, and I can be in control of what is or is not done with it.
