What is the Splatoon Webring?

A webring is a collection of websites that all link to each other in a "ring." So, the Splatoon Webring is a webring for sites all across the indie web that have something to do with the Nintendo game franchise Splatoon! Ask yourself - do you like Splatoon? Does your website have some kind of Splatoon-related content on it? Then you should join the Splatoon webring! It's free, fun, and will connect you to other like-minded Splatoon fans across the indie web!

What are the Rules of the Splatoon Webring?

• You must have a personal website with Splatoon-related content on it. It doesn't need to be full devoted fansite, but you do have to at least mention Splatoon. Your site must be hand-coded; blogs and social media pages don't count and will not be considered. Your site can be anywhere on the indie web; it doesn't have to be on Neocities (although of course it can be).


• Your website can only have a rating of up to web 14. Mild swearing is okay, but sites with NSFW material won't be considered.


• If you want to leave the webring or if your website is taken down/is no longer accessible, you must email the ringleader here to have it removed from the member list.


• Your website must not use generative AI for any type of creative work.


• Your website must not endorse, promote, or exemplify hateful messaging towards any marginaliazed group of people.


• This webring must be visible somewhere on your website. You're free to adjust the styling of the webring if you like, but you don't have to.

Can I Join the Splatoon Webring?

If you can comply with the rules listed above, then you can join! Yay! Follow these steps to join:

• Put the code listed below on your website. You must add it to your site before you contact me about joining!
• Email the ringleader here to request to join. I'll typically see your email within a day during the summer and within a week during the rest of the year. Once I see it, I'll check out your site to make sure it fits the bill and contact you soon after to let you know if you got in! When you email me, give me the following information:


• Your site's URL


• Your site's name


• Your screen name


• A brief description of your website


• Where the Splatoon content is on your website (if it's hard to find)


• Where the webring is located on your site
